These Chocolate Nutella Truffles are the easiest sweet treat you will make this holiday season. Chocolaty, rich, decadent and perfect for any occasion!
There are some recipes that are beyond easy to make and this recipe for Chocolate Nutella Truffles is the King Daddy of them all!!
For years, November fades into December and I have spent hours scrolling through my Pinterest feed and have watched pages and pages of truffles float by, never knowing how easy they are make in my own kitchen. I’m not talking about a recipe that has 8 parts to it and 6 ingredients easy… I’m saying that making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich is more complicated than making Christmas truffles. Not to mention, the sheer beauty of these little bites of happiness is that there are a billion ways to make these.. and I don’t even think that’s a real exaggeration. Chocolate, vanilla, peanut butter, mint, white chocolate, dark chocolate, with nuts, without nuts, squiggles, swirls and colored sprinkles… the list goes on and on!!
The first time I made these, I did chocolate mint. Amazing! .. then those all got ate.
Then came chocolate on chocolate on chocolate … Amazing! .. and then those too were gone!
…. came these Chocolate Nutella ones …. (sigh…. ) … you have never seen two grown adults wage war over the ‘pretty’ ones like the battle that commenced in my house. One person likes sprinkles, one doesn’t .. one person runs a food blog and needs to take pretty pictures of sugary confections and one person just yells ‘CLAIMED’ and tries to run away with the entire plate full to his Man Cave.
My advice? .. makes lots and by lots I mean don’t tell people they exist and hide in the garage with your Tupperware container of shame and apologize to NO ONE!!
(I’m not even going to take that one back.. every Momma knows that this time of year it’s either going to be the chocolate or the wine.. for everyone to survive the festivities in one piece, something’s just not going to make it back out of the garage!)
So here is this amazing recipe … there are a 100 different sources but the recipe is all the same, tweek it based on your preferences. If I may offer some tips though, they would be this .. white chocolate doesn’t seem to go as far as semi-sweet so maybe buy an extra package and also white chocolate doesn’t stay WHITE for too long so adjust your expectations on that 🙂
PS .. if you are not a fan of Nutella, leave it out or substitute it with a chocolate spread. Either way, they will be delicious!
