I was awarded the Premio Dardos award!!
I am so happy and extremely honored to share that I have been awarded the Premio Dardos award by a fellow food blogger.
What’s the Premio Dardos, you ask?
It’s an award of appreciation and acknowledgement that is passed from food blogger to food blogger to celebrate the hard work and great recipes (and late nights!) that go into making their food blogs amazing.
When I received the notification that I was nominated for this award, I had to read that message twice. Then again. Then one more time to be sure … I was absolutely speechless that Chris and Tara at Simplefood365.com nominated me for this. Bringing a food blog to life is an endless adventure with lots of work involved and especially when you are in your first year, sometimes you don’t even know if you are even reaching anyone. This award shows that my love of sharing great food is making a difference and that my sink full of dirty dishes is worth it.
As I approach my one year anniversary, this award couldn’t mean more to me!! Thank you Chris and Tara for thinking of me and awarding me this great honor. Simplefood365.com is one of my favorite sites to catch weekly (*cough.. daily!!) and the pictures and recipes of your amazing creations make me hungry every time. Thank you again!!
And now, it’s time for me to pay it forward by passing this award to other bloggers whom I admire and appreciate to continue the chain.
Here are the rules:
Thank the giver for the nomination. Link to the giver’s blog in your post so that others can visit their site.
Pass the award to a few other bloggers of your choosing, letting them know that you’ve nominated them for this award.
Tell us three things about yourself to help everyone get to know you. It doesn’t have to relate to food – just be something that represents who you are.. a look behind the curtain, if you will.
Now the good stuff!!!!! My nominations for the Premio Dardos award are:
Byron – Pretty Practical Pantry – I love his site! Amazing recipes to drool over and always accompanied with great stories .. and the pics are awesome too!
Ben – Fox Valley Foodie – This site is one of my favorites! Ben’s sense of humor always shines through in his writing and his recipes are to die for!
J – A Hot Southern Mess – This girl can COOK!!! Her posts are always entertaining, the food easy to make (#delicious) and the pictures of her food are OUTRAGEOUS!
Congratulations everyone!!! I appreciate all of your hard work, awesome pics, delicious recipes, funny stories and the endless dedication that goes into bringing all of us your amazing creations. Your posts are the highlights of my week 🙂
Now to the hard part… Three things about me:
August through October, I am basically MIA because between the start of college football season (Go Florida State!!) and building Halloween props for our yearly yard haunt, I focus on nothing else and often even forget to
talk to feed my husband. I am that chick you see speedwalking towards Halloween store displays and I apologize to anyone (too slow) that I may have knocked out of my way.
The “Pack Momma” name came to be due to the fact I have four dogs and two cats. Yes, four and two. Animals are a big deal to me and if I could buy a big ranch and rescue every dog in need, I would. And even though my husband is the center of my world, if you look at my phone there are 1330 pictures of the dogs and probably 2 of him. He understands. Besides, I think my dog Porkchop has more of a following on Facebook than I do.
I love to read!! I have NO time to do it anymore but it has always been my great escape. Stephen King has always been my favorite author and I once had dreams of becoming a novelist.. even got half way through writing my first novel before life got in my way.
Well.. that’s about it. Thank you again Chris and Tara!!
