It’s almost an unwritten rule that if you are having a social gathering of any kind, you better have a mini-crock of saucy meatballs hot, ready and waiting.
You can get away with changing up the menu to a point but if those meatballs aren’t on that table, well .. lets just say that party riots have happened for less. Its just not a party without them. Great music? Yes! Stimulating conversation? Absolutely! Open bar? WOO HOO!!! Meatballs? No??? … party’s a bust!
To avoid this disastrous outcome, I hedge my bets. I have one of those TRU 3-Crock Buffet Slow Cookers (BEST PRESENT EVER!!) and that gets loaded up with at least two different types of meatballs every time I have people over. Of the two meatball varieties, this recipe for Spicy Crockpot Meatballs is my favorite. Its saucy and spicy, sweet and ADDICTIVE… and the best part? It’s easy to put together, it takes all of about 5 minutes to make and it’s only 5 ingredients. FIVE!!!
.. well, technically SIX ingredients but one of those ingredients is garlic so does that even count??? Garlic goes in everything … it’s like air. Or sunshine.
This is honestly the easiest recipe you will ever make and I promise it will save the fate of every future party you ever plan on having. Promise!
Or you can load them up in pretty little swoopy bowl like this Sur La Table Blanc Oval Swoop Bowls 59871/23 , 9″ (#fancy) and take pictures of them for your food blog while your husband complains he is STARVING and then descends on them like a wildebeast attacking them like the helpless little meatball prey that they are … yup… good times!
Either way … they are AMAZING!!!
