With this years college football season starting right around the corner, I mean, it starts next week and I know that first college football weekend is going to be jam-packed with lots of dips, meatballs and other tailgating treats. Other than the college football games themselves, let’s be honest… the food is the best part! I mean, between Spicy Crockpot Meatballs and Loaded Potato Poppers, what is a girl to do but sit on her couch and get fat while watching her favorite sport?

I really need to learn how to make hummus to try to offset all of the hot cheesy dips I will be consuming for the next 5 months. Note to self…!

But with all of those savory, hot munchies something is missing. I have no sweet dips to offset all of the chili dips and enchilada dips and spicy dips. We need something to satisfy that sweet tooth! So here is my gift to the universe, the ultimate Buckeye Dip!

WHAT IS A BUCKEYE?

A buckeye candy is a round ball of peanut butter mixed with powdered sugar and dipped almost completely in chocolate. A ‘buckeye’ is also most known by Ohio fans since Ohio’s state tree is the buckeye and even the Ohio State University’s mascot is a buckeye. But for our purposes, we are focusing on the yummy combination of chocolate and peanut butter buckeyes 🙂
