I am talking about salsa. Homemade Salsa. Amazing. Perfection.
Truth be told, if you possess the perfect homemade salsa recipe, you pretty much have the keys to the kingdom. Is there anything more disappointing than when you see salsa and chips on a table and the salsa is watery? Or bland?
The answer?? NO!!!!!
This recipe is salsa perfection. It’s spicy and chunky and when you add the lime juice it just screams bright and festive!!

- 1 - 15 oz can fire roasted diced tomatoes
- 1 - 10 oz can Rotel tomatoes with green chilis
- 1/4 red onion , diced
- 1/4 cup cilantro , small diced
- 2 jalapeno peppers , seeds and ribs removed, diced
- 4 garlic cloves , diced
- 2 limes , juiced
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
- 1/2 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp chili powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Add garlic, onion, cilantro and jalapeno peppers to food processor and pulse until chopped small or to desired size.
Add in tomatoes, spices and lime juice and pulse to desired consistency.
Pour into a large serving bowl and serve immediately or refrigerate to chill.
Garnish with fresh cilantro
